Yes, we live in tough times.  Existing charities are struggling to keep up, maybe 2009 is not the best time to launch a significant new non-profit.

Even so, America is a great country that enjoys the blessings of liberty.  However, the economic blessings and freedoms that so many of us often take for granted comes with a price.  A price that has been paid by our brave service men and women.  HERO Company strongly believes that we collectively owe a debt to ALL those individuals who have so bravely served.  Our debt is even greater to to those who return bearing the cost of our freedom and must try to reintegrate into society with physical and emotional impairments that make full participation challenging.  We also must honour our obligation to their families and especially to the families of those who have paid the ultimate price.

HERO Company was created as a Not for Profit with the simple goal of working to improving the lives of Service Disabled Veterans and their families.   They are our heroes and we exist to serve their needs.

HERO Company believes that there are not enough opportunities for full participation in the workforce for Service Disabled Veterans. An analysis revealed a host of complicated reasons why disabled Veterans are under represented in the civilian workforce.  HERO Company has dedicated itself to addressing these issues.  We  will work with both Government and Industry to remove the fundamental underlying constraints to our heroes' success.  In other words, we want to help Disabled Veterans get and keep meaningful employment and we dedicate ourselves to the task of exploring the reasons for the anomalies and will propose and implement bold solutions to the problem.
